Obituary of Dorothy Raymond

Dorothy Raymond, 91, of Zion, died on Friday, November 8, 2013 at Rolling Hills Place in Zion. She was born February 25, 1922 in Waukegan, IL. She was a longtime employee at the Zion Cookie Factory. Dorothy enjoyed baking, traveling, and spending time with family. Survivors include daughters Donna (David) Rees of Papillion, NE, Debra (David) DeYoung of Lake Villa, IL, Diane (Fiancé Jeff Elst) McDermott of Kenosha, WI, and Denise (Michael) White of Pleasant Prairie, WI; eleven grandchildren Jeff (Jeanne), Mark (Colleen), Kelly, Jamie (Glen), Scott (Amy), Samantha, Ryan, Joshua, Justin (Fiancé Kathie), Sarah "Meg" (Cory), and Rayme; nine great-grandchildren; one sister Patricia Canup of Rancho Mirage, CA; and one nephew and three nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Raymond in 2000; one sister Ruth Feeney; and her parents Edward and Phyllis Feeney. Visitation will be Friday, November 15, 2013, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Private entombment services will be held later at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Memorial donations to Paralyzed Veterans of America have been suggested.
