Obituary of Lora Albers

Lora Lee Albers (nee Garbutt), 65, of Zion, IL went home to be with her Lord on September 15, 2013. Lora was born July 14, 1948 in Zion to Robert and Merrill Garbutt. She was a life long member of Christ Community Church in Zion. Her passions in life included her career as a hair stylist, family, friends, NASCAR and good music. Lora loved to spend quality time with her family in Door County Wisconsin. Her grandchildren always brought a smile to her face. Lora is survived by three children Crystal (Ryan) Mendoza of Lake Villa, Merrill (Cole) Busch of Lake Forest, and Michael Albers Jr of Zion; three grandchildren Jory Hope, Pryde Lee, and Ashlynn Olivia; mother Merrill Garbutt of Zion; sister Judy (Frank) Slazes of Lake Villa, and brother George (Penny) Garbutt of Zion; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert H. Garbutt. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Community Church, 2500 Dowie Memorial Drive, Zion, with Pastor Ken Langley, officiating. Interment will be private for the family. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
