Gene was a great human being. I feel grateful that I got to know him as much as I did through just working with him. While at a co-worker's house last night, Mary's (another person that loved Gene and got along beautifully with him), I had mentioned how I wish we, all three of us, could have hung out like last night with Mary (talking a lot, having food together, and watching movies together(:); it would have been so much fun. But I must remember, we must remember, to be grateful for what we indeed had with Gene while he was with us: the true gift of knowing, getting along well and being a friend with such a gentle, loving, caring, funny, and good person. I witnessed at least three customers at work today that displayed their shock and sorrow of this unfortunate knowledge. Thank God and-or all that is good that we have and will have the beautiful memories we do of Eugene Collier(: As I've written earlier, if there is a heavenly realm, Gene Collier is there(: We miss you Gene, already(:
