Obituary of Elaine Leach

Elaine W. Leach, 97, of Zion, IL went home to be with the Lord on  February 6, 2023. She was born in Clifton WI on July 12, 1925 the daughter of Frank and Hazel (Bjornstad) Henricks.

Elaine was married June 12, 1949 in Clifton, WI to the love of her life, Monroe Leach. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, and was a Sunday school teacher for fifteen years. Elaine was a machinist, as well as a cook for multiple restaurants. Elaine was an active bowler in multiple leagues, enjoyed playing card games, and enjoyed dancing with her husband.

Elaine is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Jim) Miller; grandchildren, Jesse Leach, Savannah (Jonah) Overmeir, Erin Gwin, Bethaney Leach; two great-grandchildren; and her sister, Myrtle Richardson.  

Elaine is preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Leach; sons, Robert Leach, Ronald Leach; granddaughter, Breanne Leach; siblings, Marvin, Calvin, Gordon, Edgar, Howard, Donna, and Barbara

Visitation will take place Friday, February 10, 2023 at Immanuel Lutheran Church,1310 N Frolic Ave, Waukegan, IL 60085  at 10:00 a.m. followed by a service at 11:00 am.  Procession  will follow to Elaine’s final resting place at Northshore Garden of Memories, North Chicago,
IL.
