I feel so lucky to have known Jean, always so simple and so easy to hang out with. If you told her you didn’t have money for travel she would say “Don’t worry about the money the bills will get paid, take the trip, it will work out”. Over the years we had so much fun on our girls trips to Galena (including our first hot air balloon ride) and Florida. No matter where we were vacationing Jean and Eva were the first ones on the dance floor. Jean was an example to follow in life as she lived it so well.

I Will remember Jean always. She and Dick had a great influence in my AFS year 1980 . We stayed in touch for many years after I left to go back to the Netherlands. She met my husband Rene and finally my mom Gerrie. We all have had many happy days and vacations together. Even the last years we took cruises together with Jean and my mom who also had a great time and a lot of fun with Jean. We had a ball. She will always be in our hearts.

What and amazing woman and amazing life. I was so privileged to call her Mom. Jean was my AFA American Mom for much more than my class of 1989 at ZBHS.
An amazing listener, planner and doer. Jean knew how to live in the present and enjoy life to the full. She not only welcomed me into their home, but any of my friends and family too. Wow, she and Dick took me, and then again my sister and friends, on amazing trips in the camper. I remember counting 25 states at one time. I will always be so grateful for the whole family’s warmth and laughter and a place to call home in Zion. Jean and Dick raised two incredible daughters who, along with their children and grandchildren, will continue her legacy. So sorry I cannot be with you in person, will be there virtually and send tons of love to you all. xox

Dear family. ❤️I am so grateful to have known a person like Jean Molidor (Mom). Destiny brought us together through AFS, and she became my american mom. The happy memories are endless, and the warmth and unconditional inclusion in the family has stayed with me forever. I would not be the person I am today without knowing Jean Molidor. You will never be forgotten! Rest in peace! Love from Randi, Jenny, Andrea, Luis and mommy Inger❤️

So very sorry to hear about your loss. Steve was sharing memories of all the games you all would play in the basement and how your mom would always make sure you had plenty of refreshments. He said she was like Carol Brady from the Brady Bunch. Everything was always perfect. May all of your beautiful memories sustain you all until the pain subsides. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
