Obituary of Charles William Bostick Jr
Charles William Bostick, Jr passed away February 18, 2022 in Waukegan, Illinois. He was born April 11, 1962 in Kenosha, Wisconsin to Charles and Marlene (Loew) Bostick. He was a landscaper for most of his life, although he enjoyed doing mechanical and body work on cars and gardening. He began racing at Waukegan Speedway, then transitioned to driving a late model at Wilmot Speedway, enjoying many years in the pits piloting the #2 Camaro and becoming known as one of the “Wadsworth Boys”. Jr had a love of life that would sometimes get him into trouble, but his laugh and his smile would just as often get him out of it. He fought with many demons, but he always had a pure heart.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Uncles Fred Jackson and David Lesley, Aunt Barb Lesley and many other family members close to him.
Charles is survived by his son, Charles Bostick Ill “Chaz”, his father, Charles Sr., sisters Julie (Joe) Leech and Nancy (John) Esp, Aunts Kat Jackson and Karen (Greg) Orlando, Uncle Thomas Loew, as well as several nephews, niece, cousins, long-time friend Jimmy Creekmore. He was also survived by his former spouse, Lynda Bostick.
Visitation will take place Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 5:00–7:00 PM at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion, IL. Interment will be private for the family.
