Obituary of Anthony Perez

Anthony "Sonny" Perez passed away in his sleep on January 17, 2022. He was born on August 25, 1958 in Waukegan, Illinois. He graduated from ZBTHS in 1976. He continued his education at Pivot Point in Chicago and became a hair stylist. Anthony enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was the life of the party. He loved dancing and singing...although he wasn't very good at either. We loved seeing him enjoying himself and bringing joy and laughter to those around him. Preceded in death by his mother Dolores Perez; brother Andrew; grandparents Manuel and Elodia Padilla, Juan and Eva Perez; Aunt Rita Manry; Uncles Rudy, Joe (Betty), Edward Padilla, Manuel Blea; cousins Christina Calderon, Jason Waters and Marie Manry. Survived by his father Martin; sisters Angela and Annette Perez, Amelia (Charles) Pryor; niece Tash Perez. Aunts Raquel Blea, Elena (Frank) Calderon; numerous cousins, special friends Ed Ross and Tim Macki. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at 5:00 p.m., at Congdon Funeral Home 3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion, IL 60099.
