Obituary of Mario A. Garza

Mario A. Garza of Wadsworth passed away comfortably at home on January 5,2021. He was born in San Antonio, Texas, May 7, 1948. He was honored to have served his country in the US Navy. He did his basic training at Great Lakes and when he finished his duty to our country, he returned to Waukegan and was a lifelong resident in Lake County. He worked for Ameritech for over 30 years and upon retirement, enjoyed going up North to the U.P to do some fishing and 4-wheeling. He was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Waukegan. His church family was very important to him. He loved helping out at church in any capacity that was needed. He had a ready smile for all who walked into church and into his life as well. He is survived by Lise Myllymaki, his son Ricardo (Julie) Garza, Steven (Stefanie) Myllymaki Even though we only had hospice for one day, a big thank you to Journey Care. They were so wonderful in this time of need If you like, a donation in Marios’s memory may be made to St. Mark’s Lutheran church at 3350 Delany Road, Waukegan, IL 60087.
