Al was my best friend most of my life after he moved to our neighborhood when he was in the 2nd grade and I was in 1st. We spent our time together at Orchard Hills golf course, baling hay at Midlane Farm, working for Walgreens drug stores and then finally at Sparkling Spring and Ice Mountain water companies. In our early years we would ride our bikes from our homes by Orchard Hills to the Waukegan Shopping Plaza to window shop at Bells and Topps, the local discount dept. stores in the 60's. We spent 90 percent of our childhood together and I will miss seeing him and enjoying our memories for as long as I'll be able to remember. Rest in Peace Allen !

My first experience with Al was a pleasant conversation we had on the telephone. When he welcome me to the Nestle family. Al was always a voice of positivity, always assuring me that things would get better. I will always remember him as a kind, caring and very understanding person. May he Rest In Peace

Al was a class act. I had the privilege of hiring Al into the Nestle Family from Sparkling Springs and he never let me or the Organization down. He was proud to do whatever he could to exceed in his job and to help others exceed as well. He was a team player and always willing to help others in anyway that he could. Al will be missed and I’m glad that I was able to have known him. Rest In Peace.

I am so sorry to hear about Al’s passing. Al and I worked together during his time in Connecticut. He was my partner in crime and desk neighbor. His positivity, calm demeanor and candy drawer got me through so many tough times. Al was a leader, teacher, coach, friend and family to us all. He was the glue of our team and we will forever be grateful for him. May he Rest In Peace smiling over us all.

It broke my heart when I heard that Al had passed. He was my first plant manager and first mentor in manufacturing. When I met him, I barely knew how to operate a spreadsheet. He loved computers and he went above and beyond to teach me. Al was always that caring. He always took his own time to help others. I owe him so much for taking a chance on me. Deepest condolences to his family.

I’m saddened to hear about the passing of Al Vogel. I can not put into words how much this great man had a very important impact on my life. Al hired me in December 2006 to work alongside him and his team of workers at Nestle waters in Hilliard Ohio. He was always there to talk to you if you needed his help.
RIP my friend till we cross paths again.
My deepest condolences to his wife, kids and the hole family. You will be truly missed Al.

I had the pleasure of working with Al at Ice Mountain in Hilliard, Ohio. Al was a wonderful boss and a very caring person. He loved the Columbus Blue Jackets and went to a game whenever possible. Whenever you would drive by the plant late at night he was there, burning the midnight oil. He will be truly missed by all who came in this path. Rest in peace my friend. My deepest thoughts and prayers go with his family during the difficult time.

What a kind, funny and caring man. So many great times together at mom and dad Jansen’s house, holidays, parties and just every weekend for years just hanging out there together.
I liked Al the first time I met him after he returned from Vietnam serving what would become his Country decades before becoming a citizen.
We had so many good times, so many laughs raising our kids all basically the same age.
Many great memories come flooding back.
I am thankful Al was my brotehr-in-law and friend. He will be missed but we’ll see each other soon...Jerry Myers

We grew up on Orchard Hills golf course and then worked our way thru Walgreens and then Sparkling Spring Water Co. and Ice Mountain. He married my sister Dorothy and was always considered my brother.
