I am so very sorry to read of your family’s loss. It is lovingly apparent that Mr. Tuohy was loved, very much. During tragic times like this, I like to reflect on 1 Cor. 15:25, which tells us how God feels . . . about death. There we read: “The last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing.” This helps us to see that death is not a part of life, because here God refers to it as our ‘enemy.’ As a result, at Acts 24:15, God promises there will be a resurrection, of our loved ones who’ve fallen asleep in death—back to life on earth—so that we can see them again. I sincerely hope these scriptures help to comfort your family as they have mine, and if you'd like to read the Bible online, or learn more about God's promises for our loved ones who've fallen asleep in death, please feel free to visit JW. org. So sorry to hear about Jim. I had the pleasure to know him since I was little growing up in Waukegan. I also had the opportunity to play a couple Thanksgiving Day football games at Beach Park school with him. He played a pretty darn good quarterback from what I remember. He will be missed.

Donna, It was with sadness that I heard about Jim's death from my sister, Mary Starbird. Though I know he had been in declining health for some time, it is always a difficult time for all of you. I hope the memories shared with your children and their families these recent months, especially in the past few days, will help to sustain you in the coming weeks and months ahead. Please accept our deepest sympathy in your loss of Jim.
Sincerely, Jean Gengler and Rich Naidus
