Obituary of Frank Reinier
Frank Reinier, 70, of Zion, IL, died October 17, 2017 at home with is family by his side.
Frank was born in Germany. He graduated from Zion-Benton Township High School with the class of 1967. Frank married Paula Gourley. He was a member of Our Lady of Humility Church. He was a former chief and retiree of the Highwood Police department. Frank was an active member of many clubs and organizations including, the Winthrop Harbor VFW, Highwood American Legion, Military order of the Purple Heart, Knights of Columbus, German American National Congress, the Wisconsin Sportsman Association, the NRA, and was a Kidney Center peer coach at St. Catherine’s in Pleasant Prairie, WI. Frank was a well known and greatly loved man. He will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Paula; children, Manya Reinier, Andre (Jeremy Pettit) Reinier, and Eric Reinier; two grandchildren, Prism and Link Reinier; brother Glenn (Diane) Reinier; and Judy Reinier.
He was preceded in death by mother, Johanne Reiner and his father, Peter Reinier.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Humility Church, 10655 W. Wadsworth Road, Beach Park. Interment will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Veterans Freedom Farm, Wadsworth, IL or Midwest Veterans Closet of North Chicago, IL. would be appreciated.
