We met Scott through the Fresh Hope online group. He was so gracious, encouraging, brave, transparent and so much more. We appreciated his words whenever he shared and valued the time that he gave us in the group. His loss saddens our hearts, but our trust in the amazing God that he loved and served gives hope in this sad time. We don't know his family, but he loved each one very much and spoke of you all with a heart full of pride and love. We are praying for you in this very difficult time.

As a college friend, I remember Scott at MBI and am glad that he was used by God. I'm really sorry to hear about his death. The sadness lingers but the Lord is present. May you receive His comfort and the comfort of many friends, as well as future friends.

I still cannot believe he is gone. I met Scott at the Freshhope group he attended. His smile was contagious. His love for the Lord was so clear. Also his love for his wife and children. He talked about them a lot. When I saw Scott I saw someone filled with life. The Lord Jesus Christ's life. You could tell he had such a big heart. I always looked forward to seeing him at the groups. My heart breaks that I will no longer see my brother at our groups anymore. I just talked to him about a day before he passed about me going through hurricane Irma in Florida. So many times I wanted to reach out across the camera and give him the biggest hug. I cannot put into words how blessed my life is for knowing him and having him come into my life. My hearts and prayers go out to his parents, wife, children and rest of the family. I look forward to when I will see him again in heaven.
Your friend,
Doug Worner

To the Capp family,
Our prayers are with you as you grieve the loss of Scott. We became acquainted with Scott and his wife Amy and children when he was ministering at Grace Bible Church in Aurora and then later at Village Bible Church in Sugar Grove, IL. We always appreciated his zeal and love for the Lord and his passion for missions and discipleship.
Be assured of our deepest condolences and intercession for all of you at this time.
Sincerely,
Gary & Jami Bonifas

Scott was a great guy and friend. It was a honor, privilege and pleasure to have known Scott. I will miss him. We often think we have all the time in the world, when in reality tomorrow is promised to no man.
