Shirley added a ray of sunshine and compassion to this world, triggered by her deep faith. Her passing is a loss to us all! I will always remember our friendship.
I just want to say I'm very sorry for your loss. She was a very good lady and she was the best teacher I had ever had when I was in first grade. She was kind and gentle and she made me smile everyday i saw her. I am sad to see her go and I know she's in a better place were she will watch over. I know it's hard, but I will always cherish the time's I had when I was her student. She taught me everything I need to know. Again, I am sorry for your loss.

Mrs. Stare was my (like many) first grade teacher. She was an amazing caring woman and teacher. Every time I go through Zion I drive by Beulah and remember our field trip to her house and just what a sweet lady she was. I know the loss to the family must be great and I am so very sorry to hear this news. My thoughts are with you all. I know I will never forget her.
I lived down the hall from Shirley for the 11 years I've been at Bristol Oaks. I called her my Guardian Angel because she's the one who found me in the hallway, bleeding and in need of help from a bad cut to my arm. She saw to my wound, called 911 and stayed with me until the rescue squad showed up. She was always very sweet and pleasant every time I saw her. I'm so sorry for your loss and I know Heaven has a brand new angel.
I know my life has been blessed knowing Shirley. She was such a fun-loving person and a devoted teacher to her students and those of us who got the chance to work with her. Sending prayers to her family!
