Clarence and I had the same birthday--only he was a year older, same class, he joined up in his senior year, didn't graduate. He always told me he was my older brother--which was good because he could really fight and bad because his family was not really good at parenting. However, he found a family who gave him strong guidance in the US Navy and in his wife. I always regretted that I never saw him to tell him that I was willing to introduce him as my older brother. God understands, and, I am sure, so does Clarence.

Even though dad and I haven't spoken in a while his passing is still extremely hard to comprehend. We loved him, revered him, and were in awe of him. The time lost will never be covered, so we extend our open arms and hearts to let all know that if we can do anything in the future please call on us. Dad would have wanted us to come together rather then being torn apart. Again we offer help of any kind. In Loving Memory. ROBERT, JR. & KATHLEEN HENRI

Christy, It has been many years since we have last seen each other, but while on active duty, Clarence was responsible for "pushing" the right buttons in order for Steve to finally get selected for E7 during his last tour at Great Lakes. Without Clarences' help, Steve would have retired as an E6. For this, he will always be remembered whenever Steve tells stories of his Navy days. Clarence was a good friend while we were in Okinawa and for a short time at Great Lakes before he retired. Our thoughts are with you during this time that you stay well with the support of your family and close friends. Steve and Deb Pederson

Dear Chrissy, Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. Each day is a struggle but time will heal your wounds. You will remember him in your heart and will tell stories over the years that will bring a smile to your face. Maybe something he did or said will remind you of his life . I will remember his infectious laugh and showing me all his projects in your yard the day I went out to your house. What a creative man. I still have the clock he made and I will remember him always when I look at it. You had 17 years with him and you could tell he loved you very much.

I new Clarence briefly form 2004 to 2005 but because of his friendly and outgoing personality, we quickly became friends. I worked with him at the Great Lakes Credit Union for 1 year. After I left the credit union we continued to email each other. I was glad to spend that short time with him. I will miss him. My deepest sorrows to his family but try to be strong because that's what he would have wanted. Dave
