My condolences to Slim's family. He was my fathers best golfing buddy for many years. I still think of him and the good times that my father and Slim had golfing. They won many a match together. He'll be missed. God Bless

First of all, to the family I send my deepest condolences on the loss of your beloved Flavous. I had the privilege of meeting him only one time, but I have heard stories about Flavous Kidd all of my life. Flavous and my dad were very best friends. My dad, Jack Browning and Flavous fought WWII together with the 88th Infantry Division in Northern Italy. I'm not sure what to make of this situation but here goes. My dad passed away March 8th of last year. I took my mother to the cemetery to place flowers on his grave this past Tuesday on the anniversary of his death. Since Tuesday I have had Flavous on my mind. Today I went to my mother's and got into dad's old address book and got Flavous's number so I could call and talk with him. I tried several times today to call him but got no answer. For some unknown reason I decided to look on line at the obituaries in Zion. To my dismay I saw Flavous's name. I think now two old buddies are together again.

To the family of Flavous Kidd(SLIM), on behalf of the Officers, Bd. Of Direc. and the membership our sincerest condolences on the passing of Slim. Slim was an icon here at the club. He will be greatly missed by all of us. I had many discussions with Slim on Saturday mornings when he attended meetings here. He was always a gentleman and a man of true character. Slim was the last living founder of ZB Alano Club, He is the reason this building is here for all of those who seek recovery. God Bless you sir, your work here will never be forgotten.

To the Family of Slim please accept my deepest condolences. As you all know Slim touched so many people and I am just one of the many. I can remember as if it were yesterday the first day I walked into the AA club for my first meeting. I was scared and didn't know what to think. That all melted away as Slim met me at the door with his smile and welcoming handshake. He helped me walk the early days of my sobriety with my head held high and not in the pit of guilt and shame I was living in. We spent many days on the golf coarse and that is were we had the real meetings. All I can say is I am sober today because of him. Once again I am sorry for your loss, my prayers reach out to all of you. Mark

Family & Friends, Slim will be truly missed by the Fellowship. His caring about other people, has made a lasting impression on everyone. He came into peoples lives to give them hope, even when they thought it was not possible. He fought for the country that he loved the most, to give the people a freedom of choice. A founder of the Z/B Alano Club is one of his greatest accomplishments. We commend him for his efforts, for all he has done for others & not asking for anything in return. He just wants us the keep the Faith & to Pray for others. Sincerely, Kenosha Alano Club
