Dear Mayfield family. I was sorry, and yet happy, to hear of the homegoing of Edie. Awesome memories of the WHOLE family, especially Marcia, playing the organ together, and Dad coming over to "fix" something!

My deepest sympathies to the family. What a dear lady Edith was and so willing to share her talents. A few years ago I had a chance to have a nice visit with Edith. She was truly a credit to her God, her family and her town. Heaven's choir will be the richer because of it's newest member. You are in my prayers. Marilyn

Edie and Willis were the most endearing couple at Grace Missionary Church where I attended through my school years. Her musical abilities were personally evident not only at various funeral services of my family, but more recently at Rolling Hills Place where she played for the fellow residents. She never failed to welcome me warmly when I visited my parents there. Such a very special and spiritual person in all the years I knew her. She was a joy to life itself.

Dear Larry, Tim, and Marcia, My memories of your mom go back 55 years. She must be one of the last surviving friends of my late mother, Ione, and one of the last surviving mothers of my friends. I remember her as a kind, cheerful, talented, and godly women. She was yet another of my parents' friends who was interested in and committed to the wellbeing of all of us kids. She was part of the vital community fabric of my adolescent years that made life in Zion and Winthrop Harbor a great place to have lived in a wonderful period of my life. Now for her faith is seen, hope is lived, and love for her Lord and Savior joyously continues in his presence forever. With joyous celebration of this life transition, Fellows

Dear Larry, Tim and Marsha, Mary Lou and I want to express our deepest sympathies to you in the loss of your mother. I remember her well ever since you first moved to Zion in the 50's. She was a wonderful mother and musician. She was always willing to do whatever she could for anyone, and lived a long life of faithful service to the Lord. She has now joined Will, my mom and dad, and many other former Grace Missionary Church members in the land they taught about, preached about, and longed to see. May the joy of the Lord be with you today as you celebrate the fact that your mother is in the presence of her Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ.
