Obituary of Virginia Williams

Virginia LaDean Williams, 85, of Beach Park, IL, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2010, at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan, with her family by her side. Virginia was born November 16, 1924, in Marion, IL, and married Robert Williams on October 16, 1953. She retired from St. Therese Hospital in Waukegan where she was Director of Patient Accounts. Virginia was a loving mother, grandmother, and aunt, who loved to visit casinos with her friends. Survivors include daughters, Patricia Williams of Beach Park, IL, and Kathy Williams of Oak Park, CA; granddaughter, Melanie Williams of Beach Park, IL; brother-in-law, Eric Pitt of Chesapeake, VA; niece, Diane (Robert) Sloan of MS; nephews, Michael Pitt of FL, and Mark Pitt of VA; and grandnieces and grandnephews, James Sloan, Robin Vallango, Lisa Hileman, Anthony Vallango, Andrew Hileman, Casie Hileman, Raphael Pitt, and Taylor Sloan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Williams in 1987; sisters, June Johnson and Barbara Pitt; and parents, Plomer and Mary Childress. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Visitation will be Monday, September 27, 2009, from 5:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association of Chicago, 8430 W.
