Obituary of Steve Wypych

Steve Joseph Wypych, 69, of Beach Park, Illinois, died on Sunday, August 15, 2010 at Rush Medical Center in Chicago. Steve was born November 5, 1940 in Waukegan. Music was his lifelong passion. He was a singer, songwriter, guitarist for various bands over the years. Survivors include his children, Kenneth Wypych of Waukegan, Steve Wypych Jr. of Waukegan, Tom Wypych of Arizona, Shannon (Glenn Petrucci) Wypych of Chicago, Linsey Wypych of Highland Park, and Anthony Wypych of Beach Park; four grandchildren, Robert Wypych, Jarrett Wypych, Christian Valle, and Dylan Valle; and one great-grandchild; and one brother, Wayne (Laura) Wypych of Waukegan. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Steve and Lorraine Wypych. Visitation will be Saturday, August 21, 2010, from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, Illinois, where a prayer service will be held at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to a favorite charity have been suggested.
