Obituary of William Sears
William Dale "Bird"Sears, 60, of Zion, IL, passed away suddenly on March 29,2010.
He was born February 3, 1950,in Waukegan, and spent most of his life in North Chicago. Bill graduated from North Chicago High School in1968 and served one term with the United States Marines, honorably discharged as a Lance Corporal. He worked most of his life as a mechanic for various dealerships and shops. Recently he was an Operating Engineer for Hilton Hotel in Northbrook. He loved hunting, fishing, and camping.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa; daughters, Erica and Annie of Baraboo, WI; sons, Brendhan of Kenosha, Billy of Baraboo, WI, and Blaine (Danielle Mitchell) of Zion; precious granddaughters, Serenity and Kyleigh; sisters, Diane Mitchell of Waukegan and Nancy Moxey of Pleasant Prairie, WI; brothers, Charles and Sonny of Arizona, and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his special friend,Butch Miscichowski.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Cordelia Dale; sister; Rita; and daughter, Heather.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home. 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL, with Pastor Dave Adams of New Song Church of Zion, officiating. Friends may greet the family on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment is private for the family.
