To Lisa, Family & Friends. My heartfelt condolences. Ya know I'll bet I've told stories a thousand times over the years of how Billy bird intentionally and brillinatly got out of the USMCR years early. It was like he was living the sit-com MASH. Bird, wherever you are keep on doing what you were doing here in this life.

My condolences to the Sears Family. There are not very many persons that I can say that I've known and thought of for 50+ years, but Billy was one of them. We sort of reconnected in a sense when Brendhan came by my house to pickup my son, Louie Jr., on the first day of high school. May God bless and keep you family.

I want to offer my most sincere sympathy to the Sears Family. I first met Billy in sixth grade at Neal Junior High School through his, then, best friend Phillip Parker. There are many a days that we laughed, joked and hung out during high school and after. I am truly saddened to know of his passing. May God bless his family and his soul to Heaven. Joe Swopes "68" NCCHS.

My God! Billy 'Bird' Sears. My condolences to Bill's family. While I had lost contact with Billy immediately after high school I do remember him well from grade school...funny, happy go-lucky individual, which I'm sure remained part of this personality right up to his untimely death. He was a great kid/classmate and I'm sure a husband and father. Again, I'm sorry for your loss.

Dear Lisa, I have two poems I would like to share with you that have touched my heart. DO NOT STAND BY MY GRAVE AND WEEP. I AM NOT THERE. I DO NOT SLEEP. MY SOUL IS SET FREE. MY BODY ONLY HOUSED MY SPIRIT ….. AND I LEFT IT. I AM A THOUSAND WINDS THAT BLOW. I AM A DIAMOND GLINT ON THE SNOW. I AM THE SUNLIGHT ON RIPEND GRAIN. I AM THE GENTLE AUTUMN RAIN. WHEN YOU AWAKE IN THE MORNING HUSH, I AM THE SWIFT UPLIFTING RUSH OF QUIET BIRDS CIRCLING IN FLIGHT. I AM THE SOFT STARSHINE AT NIGHT. DO NOT STAND BY MY GRAVE AND CRY I AM NOT THERE …… I DID NOT DIE. and The Other Side What will one day become of us we’ll grow as grass under their feet No one here will ever know your name and you still lie here next to me If it takes another life I’ll wait for you On the other side Everything that comes to me As good Belongs to you I’ll count our blessings as I Wait for you On the other side Good luck and I will see you through Get used to this You’re going to be alright The world goes on with or without me If I don’t ever leave a thing behind I’ll still leave you without me If it takes another life I’ll wait for you On the other side Everything that comes to me As good Belongs to you I’ll count our blessings as I Wait for you On the other side Good luck and I will see you through I will miss Uncle Boodie. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, Snooky

Our deepest sympathy to the entire Sears family. Bill and my brother, Dennis Riley, were buddies in high school and what I remember most is Bill's great smile and happy laugh. A sweet guy, too soon gone from our sight.
