Obituary of Laurie Koziol

Laurie Koziol, 46, of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois, died on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at home. Laurie was born December 23, 1963 in Waukegan. She was employed as a waitress in various area restaurants over the years, Laurie was an animal lover who especially loved her cats and she enjoyed taking walks in the rain and feeling the wind. She also enjoyed music and she lived life the way she wanted. Survivors include her husband, Mark; her mother, Beverly (nee Gott) Crawford and her loving friend, Paul, who was like a father to Laurie, both of Winthrop Harbor; siblings Pamela (Ric) Russell of Waukegan and Michael James (Louise) Crawford of North Chicago; aunts Barbara, Marilyn, Lynne, Lorraine and Carol; uncles Jim, Ronnie, Dennis, Bob and Ken; nieces Dana and Tiffany; nephews, Justin and Shane; and a great-niece, Peyton. She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Crawford in 1979. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 30, 2010, from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, followed by a funeral service at 6:00 p.m. with private cremation to follow.
