Obituary of Dennis Larsen

Dennis James Larsen, 51, of Zion passed away February 1, 2010. Dennis was born June 14, 1958 in Waukegan to Jim and Yolanda Larsen. He was educated in the Winthrop Harbor schools and Zion-Benton High School. He worked in the marine business and for the past 10 years was employed by Larsen Marine in Waukegan. His hobbies were boating , fishing, attending sprint car races, but his favorite was snowmobiling in the U.P. He is survived by his mother, Yolanda Larsen; significant other Shirley Sutton; son Blake Larsen of Zion; daughter Rhiannon Larsen of Valier, Illinois; brother Glenn (Patty) Larsen of Zion; sister Leah Sheppard of Winthrop Harbor; grandmother Maudellyn Tompoles of Santa Ana, California; nieces Amy & Terra Sheppard, Tiffany Larsen; and nephew Tim Larsen. He was preceded in death by his dad Jim Larsen; son Danny Larsen; grandparents Leonard and Verna Larsen; and Gordon Tompoles. Greeting time with the family will be Saturday, February 6, 2010 from 2:00 until 4:30 p.m. with a memorial service at 4:30 p.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd. Zion.
