My dad was a beautiful guy. Most of you knew him a little but Rick and I were lucky enough to have him as our father. Dad. I loved him with all my heart and I miss him already. 87 is a good long life that few of us will reach, but I wish there some more years with him. In John 13:15, Jesus tells his disciples, "For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you." Dad gave us that. Thanks for everything dad.

Dear Rick, I was saddened to read of your father's death. I remember your dad with much fondness from my high school years. I remember him as an interesting person to talk with. How blessed you were to have had him as your dad. God bless you, Lynda

Let's not take it lightly... All the brave things the soldiers do, Putting their lives in jeopardy With little regard for themselves, Though more concerns for you and me. Serving their country--cost is high, With their lives risked on far-off soil, Their own blood and that of comrades spill For sacrifice, daring and toil. Many died or had loved ones lost, At war's or enemy's hand But because of them our flag waves, Declaring freedom for our land. All the brave things the soldiers do, Putting their lives in jeopardy, So remember Lowell Hauenstein, His fight for us at Normandy... Let's not take it lightly! God bless you Lowell, and thank you! by and from Sandy Dickson

Dear Craig & Rick, I remember your dad's kind and patient helpfulness. He was often involved in the scout troop as we grew up, helping us learn our way through the ranks, going along on camping trips & seeing to the welfare of so many boys learning outdoor skills. He was a good friend, neighbor and sometimes second dad. I'm so grateful to have known him and for his help in those years. Andy Falstad
