I am deeply saddened to have heard of John's passing too late to attend his memorial service. John was someone I was glad to have known. I met him through the Zion Park District running club many years ago and we often jogged in many running events together and went to a lot of Far North Mile Makers parties. We exchanged Christmas cards every year. After the running club disbanded, I would only see John in town occasionally. I think the last time I saw John was at the Festival of Lights spaghetti dinner. My deepest sympathy to the family.
