Obituary of Charles Bradford

Charles Bradford (aka Pankie Williams), 63, of Zion, died on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. He was born January 21, 1945 in Pikesville, KY and grew up in Chicago before settling in Zion. A Veteran, he served with the United States Navy as a Navy Seal for three tours of duty. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Madrene; children, Jenna Kantor of Addison, IL, Mindy Bradford of Kenosha, WI, Charlotte (Steve) Barrett, Charles Williams and David Williams; three grandchildren; one sister, Donna Lee; and a cousin, Beatrice Fear. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Lloyd and Octavia Williams. Cremation services are being handled by the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. There will be no services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to either the American Lung Association or the American Cancer Society have been suggested.
