To the family of Charles Bradford: I am a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. About two weeks ago while I was making my weekly tirp to VISTA to visit with cancer patients, I was privileged to talk with Charles. We quicky recognized each other, and I knew he was the man who had helped me so many times at the Ace Hardware Store. We have a very nice conversation that day at Vista. He spoke to me of having the support of a loving family; he was very proud of his service as a Navy Seal; and he asked for no sympathy or special favors. I judged him to be a man of great strength and moral characther. Even the nurses told me, "be sure to visit with Charles Bradford, he is the nicest man." I agreed with them; he was a good man. I am so sorry for your loss. I wish that I had had the opportunity to know Charles better. The Bradford/Williams family surely has been blessed by his good life. May you all find peace and comfort at this time. Sincerely, Alva Caldwell, Volunteer for the American Cancer Society.
