Obituary of William Sayle

William A. Sayle went to be with his Lord September 19, 2014 in Waukegan, IL. William was born March 1, 1923 in Waukegan, IL and graduated from Waukegan High School class of 1940. He served in the 8th Air Force from June 1943 until June 1945, was a B24 Pilot in WWII, belonged to the Waukegan Motorcycle Club from 1938 until 1968, retired from the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier for 30 years. He will be missed by many. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Donna M. (nee Stried) Sayle; daughter, Maureen (Wallace) Austin of Alpine CA; son, David G. Ernstmeyer of Beach Park, IL; grandchildren, Jordan Austin of Los Angeles, CA, Micah (Karen) Austin of CA; sisters in law Betty A Stried of St. Paul MN, Jane Stried of Winthrop Harbor, IL; and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held Saturday, September 27, 2014 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Camp Zion would be greatly appreciated.
