Obituary of William McKerrow

William A. McKerrow Jr., 53, of Zion, IL; died on Saturday, August 2, 2014, at home. William was born September 12, 1960 in Waukesha, WI. He was retired from the U.S. Navy where he served as a hospital corpsman and was a current employee of the Great Lakes Naval Base. William was a loving husband, father, and caring uncle. His family knew him as a wise person. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Vicki McKerrow; children, Ashley McKerrow of AL, Brandon McKerrow DC2 of Yorktown, VA, William "Will" McKerrow III of Tuscon, AZ, Donielle (Todd) Jarvela of Cedar Rapids, IA, Richard (Anna) Mayhew of Thornton, CO; grandchildren, Allison, Chloe, Logan, Kayli; sister, Gail (Gary) Jorgensen of KS; brothers, Greg (Judy) McKerrow of Holland, MI, and Gavin McKerrow. Also surviving are nieces and nephews, and the mother of the McKerrow children, Karen Hansen of Tuscon, AZ. He is preceded in death by his parents, William A. McKerrow Sr. and Mary Jean McKerrow; and two brothers, Bruce and Brian McKerrow. Visitation will be Friday, August 8, 2014, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Interment is private for the family. Memorial donations to the family are suggested.
