Dodd Family, So sorry to hear the news about Jr passing away. You have our deepest sympathy. We hadn't seen him for many years but always enjoyed his visits when he was up our way in WI. He and Paul would always enjoy reliving the Old days of racing! R. I. P Jr! Paul and Sandy Cameron and family

It is with a heavy heart that I write how sad I am for your loss. Losing a parent is the hardest thing I have had to go through until the death of my older brother which is fresh and the pain is unbearable. I know how your hearts are aching but I know he would want you all to remember all the wonderful memories you had in your time together. My prayers are for the family to stay a strong unit in the time of adversity and know he is with your Mom and they are rejoicing over the wonderful family they created and loved. May you all feel the peace and love they are sending your way. Smile you have very special angels watching over you.

My prayers and thoughts are with the Dodd family at the loss of Jr. He was always very pleasant and always thanked us before leaving pit shack. He will be missed by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing him. I am sure there will be a tribute for him at one of the races at wilmot.

Jr. gave me many childhood memories while I was growing up at the Kenosha County Speedway. I have memories of the family members sitting just below where I sat. We grew up together. I had the privilege of talking to Jr. one last time, last year, in Darrell's trailer at Wilmot, telling him that HE should be in the Hall of Fame, and shook his hand. Many, many memories of Ole Jr. May you rest in peace, Sir. Bill Barty

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Dodd family. Junior always had a grin and laugh for me whenever we ran into each other. May he join all of the other racers at the ultimate Speedway in Heaven. God Bless and God's Speed. Mike & Cathy

So sorry that you all have to go through this sadness at this time. It's nice that you have each other to help you through. There's going to be tears of sadness and most certainly tears of laughter when you get together and start remembering all of the special times growing up with Dad and each other. Your Dad will be looking down at you and shaking his head at all the stories you have to tell. Your Dad was a great man from what I hear and read from Donna and some of the siblings on Facebook. He will be missed by many people, and loved by all who knew him. Take care of each other, the sadness will never go away, but hopefully it will get easier to remember him without crying. Love to you all. Donna you are a part of our family, we care about you like our sister.

My dad was the strongest man I ever knew.... He told me at one time that he did everything he ever wanted to do... From joining the navy at the age of 16, to flying an airplane, to racing at Wilmot and Waukegan Speedway. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten as the things he taught us and the stories he told will be with us forever. My dad will continue to live on in the hearts of all 8 of us kids as well as his grand kids and great grand kids. We love and miss you dearly dad but we also know you are still right here with us. <3
