Obituary of Theresa Hollen

Theresa " Sis" Hollen, 46, of Waukegan, IL died March 26, 2014 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. Theresa was born May 17, 1967 in Chicago, IL and was raised in Zion, IL. She graduated from Zion-Benton Township High School in 1985 and went on to be a CNA in nursing homes for close to 30 years. Theresa enjoyed doing crafts and selling them at various craft fairs she also enjoyed playing bingo and games on her iPad. She loved to spend time with her family and her beloved Leo. She is survived by her siblings William (Carol) Hollen, of Waukegan, twin sister and best friend, Alison Anthony of Waukegan, Becky (Peter) Pfleger of Winthrop Harbor, and Lawrence (Lisa) Hollen of Kenosha; nieces and nephews William and Maxwell Hollen of Waukegan, Lita, Alexandria, Angelita, and Peter Pfleger of Winthrop Harbor, Allen and Jakob Hollen of Kenosha, and Chloe Hollen of Indiana; great-nephew Dexter Patterson of Kenosha; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, William and Marguerite Hollen; and her grandparents. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. A visitation will take place at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the family have been suggested.
