Obituary of Eula Rhodes

Eula O. Rhodes, 92, of Beach Park, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at home with her family by her side. She was born February 27, 1922, in Tishomingo, MS, and married her late husband, Otha Rhodes on December 29, 1947. Eula was a dedicated member of the Primitive Baptist Church. Her former employer was the old U.S. Envelope in North Chicago, IL. Survivors include a son, Thomas (Pam) Rhodes of Beach Park, IL; granddaughters, Gina Rhodes Blair and Heidi Rhodes; brother, Waymon Pounders of AL; sister, Ileta Dunn of Zion, IL; and many cousins and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otha in 2004; sister, Audrey Hamm; brothers, Vaudry and Herbert Pounders; and father and mother, Hersie and Eva Pounders. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion, IL. Friends may greet the family on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
