Obituary of Edward Jaronik

Edward G. Jaronik Sr., 92, of Waukegan, IL, died on Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. Ed was born December 16, 1915, in Waukegan. A graduate of Waukegan Township High School, he married Ceridwen (Carrie) Jones on July 26, 1945, at Immaculate Conception Church in Waukegan. A lifelong member and one time caddie at Bonnie Brook Golf Course, Ed was 1961, '63, and '64 Waukegan City Golf Champion in addition to other numerous other tournament wins. He retired as Director of Purchasing at Ammco Tools, North Chicago, in 1980. Survivors include his son, Edward Jaronik Jr. of Beach Park; grandchildren, Casey Jaronik of St. Francis, WI and Adam (Shannon) Jaronik of Deerfield, IL; brother, Frank (Gertrude) Jaronik of Waukegan; and sisters, Julie (Jack) Evans of Raytown, MO, and Theresa (Art) Preston of Brookville, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife Carrie; parents, Anthony and Ann Jaronik; brothers, John, Stanley, and Tony Jaronik; sister, Mary Cossman; as well as his daughter-in-law, Michele Jaronik. A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Interment will be private for the family. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
