Obituary of Lenzie Heaton

Lenzie Ray Heaton, 49, of Zion, IL, died suddenly on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 while at work. Lenzie was born March 23, 1962 in Lake Forest, IL and lived in this area all of his life. He was employed by Sheridan Health Care Center (now Grove At The Lake), Zion, and he attended First Baptist Church of Winthrop Harbor. Lenzie loved riding his motorcycle and enjoyed being with family and friends and enjoying life to the fullest. Survivors include his children Jennifer Heaton of Winthrop Harbor, IL, and Nicholas Heaton and Cassidy Heaton both of Lake Villa, IL; siblings Leslie (Margaret) Heaton of Cantonment, FL, Margaret Davis of Wooster, OH, and Mamie McNutt of Zion, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and great-great nieces. He was preceded in death by his son, Brian Ray Heaton in 2000; one sister Joyce Seeds; and his father and mother Lenzie Ray Heaton Sr., and Hilma Orpha Heaton. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 18, 2011, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 19th, at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 3001 9th Street, Winthrop Harbor, IL, with Dr. Michael Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Pineview Memorial Park, Beach Park, IL.
