Obituary of James Gavin

James D. Gavin James D. Gavin, 70, of Beach Park, died on April 1, 2008, at home. He was born January 16, 1938, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and married Dianne Venturini (nee Pringle) on December 15, 1993, in Kenosha, Wisconsin. James was retired from the United States Navy, and after retirement, worked in civil service for the Navy. He totaled 30 years of federal service. James was also a Viet Nam War veteran and a former member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #667, Zion, Ill. Survivors include his beloved wife of 14 years, Dianne; nine children; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Richard H. (Jean) Gavin of Orange Park, Florida; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Marguerite Gavin; and a grandson, Jeromie. A private service will be held with military honors.
