Obituary of Jack Morrison

Jack Morrison, 68, of Gurnee, IL died on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Midwest Hospice Center, Glenview, IL. He was born April 4, 1945 in Waukegan, IL. Jack was an active member of St. Mark's Evangelical Church of Waukegan where he served on the Technical Team, the Finance Committee, and the Tree Of Life "In God We Trust" Committee. He retired in 2007 from Komatsu America. He also did volunteer work for Warren Township Senior Center, belonged to the Mis Shifts Car Club of Lake County, and was a former member of Northern Lake County Corvette Club. Jack also enjoyed volleyball, Corvettes, boating, sailing, computers, and many outdoor activities. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Sandy; two sons Mike (Cathy) Morrison of Gages Lake, IL and Doug (Julie) Morrison of Third Lake, IL; four grandchildren Liam, Sara, Reid, and Quinn Morrison; and siblings Billie (Stan) Kocal of Antioch, IL and James (Wendy) Morrison of Albuquerque, NM. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Helen Morrison. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark's Evangelical Church, 3350 N Delany Road, Waukegan, IL with Pastor Jeffrey E. Koth officiating. Visitations will be Tuesday, January 14th, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL and again on Wednesday, January 15th from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to either American Cancer Society or St. Mark's Evangelical Church have been suggested.
