Obituary of James Young

James W. "Jim" Young, 83, of Zion, IL, died on Monday, December 30, 2013, at Rolling Hills Manor, Zion, IL. Jim was born March 11, 1930, in Tremont, MS. He married Eunice Molgaard on October 6, 1973, in Zion. Jim retired from Johns-Manville after 36 years of employment. He was an automobile enthusiast, a NASCAR fan, and a lover of country music. Jim is survived by his wife of 40 years, Eunice Young; daughter, Melissa Young of Gurnee, IL; sister, Dorothy Keeton of Red Bay, AL; nephew, Robert Harmon; nieces, Brenda Morrow and Bonnie Stockton; and other family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Lalia Young; sister, Betty Hanson; and brothers-in-law. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, Illinois. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Friends may greet the family on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
