Obituary of Edward Miltimore
Edward "Bud" J. Miltimore, 86, a life-long resident of the Zion/Waukegan area, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan, of complications from a heart condition.
Ed served in the United Sates Navy in the Pacific Theater for years during World War II. He retired from Cyclone Fence (U.S.Steel) of Waukegan after 31 years and he retired in 1992 as a Lake County Sheriff Deputy after 15 years. He was a member of F.O.P. #66, a lifetime member of the Illinois Sheriff's Association and a lifetime member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Kathleen (nee Rose); he was also the loving father of Douglas, Margaret (Michael) Flores and Kathryn Valentine; proud grandfather of Murietta Flores; caring step-father of Catherine, Maureen and Mary; concerned step-grandfather of Joseph, Justin, Aubrey, Liam, Rachel, Caleb and Henry; as well as many nieces and nephews (especially Joseph Miltimore); and his devoted companion, "Buddy".
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Georgeanna Miltimore; his first wife, Irma "Judy" (nee Branning) Valentine Miltimore; one sister, Evelyn Brentari; and two brothers, Raymond "Steve" and Bobby J.
Services were private for the family with interment at Highland Memorial Park, Libertyville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the American Heart Association have been suggested.
