Obituary of Joyce Schonter

Joyce L. Schonter, 74, of Zion, died on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at Midwestern Regional Medical Center in Zion. Joyce was born April 27, 1933 in Prentice, Wisconsin and has lived in the Beach Park area most of her life. She enjoyed playing cards and she started the Pinocle Club at Carmel House in Zion. Survivors include her three children, Tom (Debra) Schonter of Racine, Wisconsin, Dave (Denise) Schonter of Zion and Linda (Gary) Willis of Zion; three step-children, Melody (Curtis) Fuller of Maryville, Tennessee, Randy (Debbie) Schonter of Holland, Ohio and Bonnie Beilstein of Greenback, Tennessee; 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings, Dorothy McFarland of Zion, Richard Winn of California and Marilyn Winn of Florida; and close friends, Kay and Margaret who were both very attentive to the family's needs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale in 1994; and her parents, Conrad and Helen Winn. A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2008, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Private interment will be held later at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion.
