Obituary of Edwin Napier

Edwin A. Napier, 84, of Zion, died on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at home following a long illness and surrounded by family. He was born March 4, 1929 in Chicago, IL and moved to Zion in 1986. Edwin was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict having served with the United States Army. He was a member of Our Lady of Humility Church of Beach Park. He also belonged to the N.R.A. Survivors include his wife of 42 years Patricia; two sons Erik Napier of Hoffman Estates, IL and Iain Napier of Zion, IL; and one grandchild Tatum Napier. He was preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Marion Kogut. Visitation will be Sunday, November 17, 2013, from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Services will be Monday, November 18th, beginning at the funeral home at 9:00 a.m., then going to Our Lady of Humility Church, 10655 W Wadsworth Road, Beach Park, IL for Mass at 10:00a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made out to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation.
