Obituary of Dale Kober

Dale P. Kober, 68, of Waukegan, Illinois, died Monday, February 11, 2008 at Highland Park Hospital. Dale was born March 14, 1939 in West Bend, Wisconsin, moving to Chicago in 1964, to Deerfield in 1965 and lived in Highland Park from 1968 until 2003 when he moved to Waukegan. He received his undergraduate and his Law Degree from University of Wisconsin, Madison, and was Attorney-at-law for Chicago Title for many years. Since 1991 he has been in private practice in his own law office in Waukegan. He was an active member of Highland Park Presbyterian Church, was Past President of Waukegan Rotary Club, had served on the Lake County Building Commission, was a member of A.O. Fay Masonic Lodge #676 A.F.&A.M. and was an active Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader. Dale enjoyed gardening in his spare time. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Mary Hughes Kober; children, George Robert (Carla Moran) Kober of Quincy, MA, Ruth Evelyn (Todd) Gheysen of Mundelein, and Katherine Ann Kober of Zion; one granddaughter, Katie Gheysen; and siblings, Leon (Karen) Kober of West Bend, Wisconsin, Peter (Gwen) Kober of Campbellsport, Wisconsin, and Lyn (Larry) Koziol of Jackson, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Beneta Kober. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Park Presbyterian Church, 330 Laurel Avenue, Highland Park, Illinois 60035, Rev. David Perkins officiating. Private interment will be held later at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park in Zion. Memorial donations to either Highland Park Presbyterian Church or American Diabetes Association have been suggested.
