Obituary of Carol Castillo

Carol P. Castillo, 66, of Zion, IL, died on Sunday, January 29, 2012, at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. Carol was born November 27, 1945, at Stambaugh Hospital in Stambaugh, Michigan. She graduated from Stambaugh High School in 1964 and came to the Waukegan area in the late 1960's. She married Samuel C. Castillo on March 17, 1978, in Lake County, Illinois. Carol was previously employed by National Press in Waukegan for about 10 years and Solo Cup in Highland Park for about 19 years. Survivors include her sons, Chris Johnson of Schaumburg, IL, Sam (Nicole)Castillo of Zion, IL, and Juan (fiancé, Brittany Lounsbury) of Mauston, WI; sisters, JoAnn (Emil) Nathans of Waukegan, IL, and Sandy (Bud) Hermanson of MI; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam, in 2009; her parents, Oscar and Lillian Johnson; and by two sisters and three brothers. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012, from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion.
