Obituary of Mildred Tinker

Mildred "Millie" Tinker, 87, of Beach Park, IL died on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at home. She was born March 6, 1926 in Kenosha, WI. She married Jack Tinker on September 6, 1947 in Kenosha and together they moved to Waukegan and have lived in Beach Park for the past 56 years. She attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Waukegan. Millie had many talents, especially knitting, crocheting, and needlepoint. Many a new born were blessed throughout the years with the gift of a "Millie" sweater. Survivors include children John (Barb) Tinker of Winthrop Harbor, IL and Jane (Randy) Ochoa of Beach Park, IL; five grandchildren Jaclyn Ochoa, Patrick Tinker, Stephen Ochoa, Sean Tinker, and Chris Mandurano; and two great-grandchildren Laila Ochoa and Jack Wenzel. She was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, Jack Tinker in 2001; and by her parents Erwin and Erna Ernst. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, followed by a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Memorial donations in her memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital has been suggested.
