Obituary of William Gaddis

William J. "Bill" Gaddis, 91, of Beach Park, died on Monday, February 4, 2008 at home. Bill was born March 4, 1916 in New Auburn, WI, and retired from American Motors in Kenosha in 1978. After retirement he lived in Reedsburg, WI with his first wife, Louise, for many years. He married Nedra Krapf in the early 1980's in Zion, a couple of years after the passing of Louise. Bill formerly attended the Christ Community Church in Zion. He enjoyed refurbishing houses. Bill was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Survivors include a daughter, Maria (Ron) Ewing of Beach Park, IL; grandchildren, Michael Zwicke of Beach Park, Daniel (Diane) Zwicke of Waukegan, David Zwicke of Mundelein, Jason (Tracey) Ewing of Kenosha, WI, and Geremy Ewing of Beach Park; great-grandchild, Christian Ewing; niece, Joyce Sirucek of the state of Washington; nephew, David Moughmer of Montana; and son-in-law, Kenneth Zwicke of Beach Park, IL. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Louise; and second wife, Nedra; daughter, Delores Zwicke in September of 2007; son, Larry Gaddis; and sister, Lucille Moughmer. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2008, from 6:00-9:00 p.m., and again Friday, February 8, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Christ Community Church, 2500 Dowie Memorial Dr., Zion, IL 60099.
