Obituary of Nancy Powers

Nancy V. Powers (nee Clark, formerly Smith), 77, of Zion, IL, died September 9, 2013 in Zion. Nancy was born May 18, 1936 in Franklin, PA. Nancy graduated from Rocky Grove High School in Rocky Grove, PA. She married Richard Powers on October 19, 1968 in Winchester, VA. She retired from civil service for the Naval Station, Great Lakes. Nancy is survived by her husband, Richard J. Powers; children Christopher (Cheryl) Powers, Nicholas (Nichole) Powers, Patricia (Michael) Smith Shingledecker, Timothy Smith and Theodore Smith; grandchildren Jakob, Nikolas and Joshua Powers; Abriel and Brianna Powers; Jeremiah and Travis Shingledecker, Teddy Smith, Jr.; step-grandchildren T.J., Matt and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Mazy, Miah, Travis and Ashton Shingledecker; and a brother Dr. Richard H. Clark. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Henry M. Clark, and Viola Stover Clark; sister JoAn Clark Rhoades; and a grandson Michael Shingledecker. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, September 13, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Humility Church, 10655 W. Wadsworth Road, Beach Park, IL.
