Obituary of Jean Ayers

Jean Marie Ayers (nee Learsch), 65, of Beach Park, passed away August 29, 2013. She was born August 1, 1948 in Waukegan. She attended Spaulding school in Waukegan. Jean married Lewis Ayers in Waukegan on August 6, 1977. Jean was a dedicated homemaker, she was a caring mother, aunt, great-aunt and grandmother. Jean enjoyed playing cards, doing word puzzles and going to bingo. She also enjoyed cooking, entertaining and hosting parties at her home. Jean is survived by her husband of 36 years, Lewis Ayers; children Candy Ayers, and Mary (Ronald) Minton; grandchildren Joshua Yearout, and Shianne Minton; siblings Betty Lou Dill, Joseph "JoJo" Learsch, Viota Aeschlimann, Terry (Patsy) Learsch, and Bill Learsch; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Joseph and Geneva Learsch; and one brother Jerry Learsch. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. A visitation will take place Tuesday, September 3, 2013 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
