A TRIBUTE TO OUR MOM
We could not be more blessed than to have a mom like ours. She turned the walls of a house into a lovely "home", filled with life experiences and teachings that live on in us.
She managed our home with expertise, love and charm. She patiently taught us to sew with perfection..if the seam wasn't straight, it had to come out and be re-done! She was an excellent seamstress herself and enjoyed creating beautiful outfits for us.
She taught us how to keep a clean house, how to decorate with a flair and cook and shop on a budget.
We learned the importance of tithing at an early age even if our allowance was only 25 cents.
Mom believed in Jesus Christ and made it a priority to always please him and follow the Bible. She instilled her values in us with gentle persuasion and by personal example. She taught us to pray about everything and to always be thankful.
She taught us to be creative and not to be wasteful and to always be kind.
She loved to sing. She was our beautiful "song Byrd". She set a cheerful mood in our house with her singing.
She displayed her faith in God in all of life's circumstances and as a result a seed of faith was sown in each of us that brought us all to excepting Jesus Christ as our personal Savior at an early age.
Dear Mom,
There really is no way to end this tribute, because your life is living on through us and your grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren and beyond.
We know that you are with your heavenly Father and that a few days ago He welcomed you into his warm embrace. Your love for each of us will never be forgotten and we will continue to praise God for all that you have meant to us until we see you again in heaven for all eternity.
With all our love,
Kathie, Diane, Anita and Sherry

It is 9:18 Tuesday morning and I just happened to look at this website or I would have done my best to come to the funeral. Byrdine is someone I equate with sweetness. She was always so kind and complimentary to me. I am so sad to think she is gone and so sorry for the immediate family. May God bless you and may your memories of this dear lady be sweet.

That's all the better I could say her name when she used to babysit me when I was a young child. Many good memories over the years. Aunt Byrdine and Aunt Loretta used to sing together at Klawonn family holiday gatherings. They would sing songs that glorified their Savior Jesus Christ. Somehow it got to be a tradition between my dad and Aunt Byrdine, that he would buy her a jar of olives on her birthday two days after Christmas. She would always kind of give a little laugh as if embarrassed. I guess I could go on forever, but I'll just say thank you, Aunt Byrdine for nothing but the best of memories. This part is from Dora...I thought Aunt Byrdine was so kind, I always felt a sense of peace when I was around her. She was a wonderful example of a Godly wife and mother. I remember Howard and her taking evening walks together and holding hands, they seemed to love each other so much. It made me want to have a marriage like that. She affected my life by letting Christ shine in her more that she will ever know! To her family we would like to say along with Paul in 1Thessalonians 4: 13-18,I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them who are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also will God bring with him. v.17 Then we who are alive shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the LORD in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord. AMEN! & AMEN

I will miss my Aunt Byrdine. When I was a child we would visit her home and have dinner together. After dinner Aunt Byrdine would pull down the attic stairs and let me climb the stairs to where the games were kept. I have always remembered that and the way she smiled at me knowing how I looked forward to playing those games. Her gentle smile and soft spoken kindness will remain with me. My prayers are with her family and friends.

My mom and dad had to be at the hospital where my brother was being treated for pneumonia. Aunt Byrdine filled in to help where she could. We were making toast and some of it burnt. Of course, nobody wanted it. Aunt Byrdine said that whoever got that piece got the "chocolate toast"--I fell for it!
Yeah, she made me laugh, but I remember her mostly for her testimony of living a Christian life before me--faithful wife, loving mother, cherished Aunt Byrdine.

She is my aunt and I loved her. She was a Godly, peaceful, quiet woman. To my cousins Kathy, Diane, Anita, and Sherry, my sympathy goes out to you. To Rich Storey also. May the peace of God that passeth all understanding keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Our deepest sympathy on Byrdine's passing. She was a dear, sweet person and will be greatly missed. Chuck especially remembers playing for her as she sang "I Waited for the Lord."
