Obituary of Robert Williams
Robert Lee Williams, 75, of Pleasant Prairie, WI passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at home.
He was born March 19, 1938 in Artie, WV and moved to this area in 1959. He married Marilyn Wood of Zion on March 2, 1962 in Waukegan. Robert worked for Goodyear in North Chicago and later worked for the Bank of Waukegan. He was a good, hard working man who enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan. He was also a member of the Conservation Club of Kenosha in Bristol, WI where he enjoyed trapshooting.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years Marilyn; children Debra Shaw of Kenosha, WI, Denise (Kenneth) Smith of Pleasant Prairie, WI, and Aaron (Erin) Baldwin of Victorville, CA; four grandchildren Danielle, Denny, Brandon (Stacee), and Jaret; eight great-grandchildren William, Alexander, Makayla, Robert, Sarah, Caleb, Kaylee, and Saydee; one sister Shirley (Ronald) Estep of Colcord, WV; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers Shelby, Truman, and Roger; one sister Tressie; and his parents Samp and Beatrice Stover.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 11, 2013, from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL. A Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Richard Frankel officiating. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion.
