We have so appreciated having Bob as a brother-in-law and "Uncle Bob". It seems he stepped in most following the death of his younger brother, Floyd. His niece, Peggy, sort of adopted Pearl and Bob as her second home while she was stationed in Ohio. Then Bob came out here to the West Coast to walk her down the aisle when she was married. He always felt a responsibility for his brother since around the age of seven he became "Chief Coook and Bottle Washer" for both his Dad and brother. Guess it gave him some of the training he needed for roles he played later on in his life. The Welcome mat was always out for any of us when we came to visit. I already know how I'll miss him during my daily devotions. We used the Guidepost book (large print) and would enjoy discussing various readings and also some of the authors. Bob always kept his eye on the goal he had set, and now he's reached it. And he's left his family with a very special Christmas. Instead of the usual sadness, in the loss of someone, there will be a feeling of a special Blessing (his final Christmas present to his family). Thank you, Lord, for Bob's life here on earth and Pearl's. We all have been enriched by having them as part of our lives. Betty Morrison and family
