Obituary of Myrtle Frawley

Myrtle A. Frawley (nee Bates), 86, of Waukegan, IL died on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Vista Medical Center, Waukegan. She was born October 17, 1926 in Brocton, IL and was raised in Bloomington, IL. She was a member of both St. Dismas Catholic Church of Waukegan and Our Lady of Humility Catholic Church of Beach Park, IL. Myrtle worked for many years at Archdale's Restaurant in Waukegan and later worked for Outboard Marine Corporation and was a Certified Nursing Assistant at Victory Memorial Hospital. Survivors include children Patti (Dennis) Miller of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Susie (John) Haluzak of Republic, MI, Marty S. Frawley of Waukegan, IL, and Lisa Watson of Groton, CT; grandchildren Scott Miller, Tricia Jones, Katie Miller, Melissa Jo Gerber, Jenny Frawley, Melissa Ellis, Christina Jester, Jayson Frawley, Joe Frawley, Amanda Watson, Jake Watson, and Christina Gibson; twenty-two great-grandchildren; sisters Kathryn Moore, Mary Hoesly, Ethel Land, and Cora Nelle (Jerry) Lusher; and one brother Sim (Gin) Bates. She was preceded in death by her husband Garnet "Joe" Frawley; children Donald J. Frawley and Regina Frawley; great-grandchild Nicholas Harmeyer-O'Rear; siblings Osborn, Charles, and Beulah; and her parents Samuel and Nellie Bates. Visitation will be Monday, May 6, 2012, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, May 7th, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Humility Church, 10655 W Wadsworth Road, Beach Park, IL. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. In lieu of flowers Mass donations have been requested.
