Obituary of Willie Hood

Willie Hood, 74, of Waukegan, IL, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at home. Willie was born on March 22, 1939, to Mattie Lee Aikens in Memphis, TN. Later he moved to Waukegan, IL, at an early age. He attended Shiloh Baptist Church in Waukegan, and worked in construction for 27 years. He leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Willie Hood Jr. and one grandson, Delaney James Hood both of Waukegan, IL; one brother, Henry (Lucille) Hood Sr. of Waukegan, IL; special friend and nephew James Hill of Zion, IL; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mattie Hood; one sister, Georgia Hill; and two brothers, Chester and L.T. Hood. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 15, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at the Shiloh Center, 2600 Emmaus Ave., Zion, IL.
